Product Description

Your cat not bothered about catnip? This handsome narwhal brings something they might prefer: silvervine.

Silvervine Cat Toy

Roughly a third of cats don't respond to catnip at all, and it's inherited rather than something they grow into. Silvervine works on many of those cats, and often gets a stronger reaction from the ones who do like catnip too. If you've watched your cat walk past a catnip mouse without a glance, this is the one to try.

Refillable Silvervine Sticks for Cats

The plush narwhal holds a silvervine stick in a sealed compartment, with three spare sticks on the backer card. That matters more than it sounds: the active compounds fade with air and light, which is why a toy that seemed irresistible in week one gets ignored by week five. Swap the stick and it's new again. Some sellers spell it silverline, but it's the same plant.

A Catnip Alternative for Cats

Silvervine contains more of the compounds that trigger the response, so cats that shrug at catnip often react to this. Store it in a sealed tub between sessions to keep it potent, and rotate it out of the toy basket every week or two rather than leaving it on the floor.

Narwhal Cat Toy with Feather Tail

The long feather tail adds flutter and unpredictable movement, so it works for solo play as well as wand-style games with you. Roughly 20-25cm including the tail, suitable for cats of all ages, and it sits alongside the catnip options in our interactive cat toys range.
