Product Description

Crackles when batted, which is usually enough on its own.

Catnip Cat Toy with a Crackle Layer

Two things pull a cat in here. The catnip does the initial work, and the crackle keeps it going once the scent response fades after ten minutes or so. Cats respond to that rustling sound the way they respond to leaves or plastic bags — it reads as something alive and worth investigating.

100% Natural North American Catnip

Generously filled rather than lightly scented. That distinction matters: most high street catnip toys are infused and barely register, which leaves owners assuming their cat isn't a catnip cat. Around two thirds of cats respond, and it's inherited, so if this gets nothing you know it's genetics rather than the product.

Made in the UK

Designed and made in Britain, and award-winning, which is unusual in a market where nearly every cat toy is imported. Worth knowing if you'd rather your money stayed closer to home.

Keeping It Working

The active compounds in catnip fade with air and light, so a toy left permanently on the floor stops working within weeks. Store it in a sealed tub between sessions and rotate it back in a fortnight later — it'll read as new. Loose catnip in our interactive cat toys range won't refill this one, but it will freshen the outside.
