Product Description

Bonito flakes, chicken and salmon in a broth that disappears before the pouch hits the bin.

Japanese-Style Cat Food Topper

Dashi is the broth at the base of most Japanese cooking, built on bonito flakes — dried, fermented skipjack tuna with an intensity nothing else quite matches. That's what does the work here. Cats respond to smell before taste, and bonito is about as strong a smell as you can put in front of one.

For Cats That Have Gone Off Their Food

Broth is the standard first move with a cat refusing dinner. Pour it over what they've rejected and the smell usually changes their mind. Warming it for a few seconds lifts the aroma further. Senior cats and cats recovering from illness often eat with a topper and won't without one.

Hydration Without the Water Bowl

Cats are poor drinkers by instinct and most take less water than they should, especially on dry food. A broth pouch is the easiest way to top them up, because it goes down as part of dinner rather than as something you're making them do.

How to Serve It

Over dry or wet food, or straight from the pouch as a drink. One 40g pouch suits one cat, one sitting. Grain-free, preservative-free, no artificial colours, with Vitamin E and green tea extract. Suitable from kitten to senior, and it works alongside the lickable tubes in our cat treats range.
